Royal portraits in sculpture and coins : Pyrrhos and the successors of Alexander the Great / Blanche R. Brown
by Blanche Brown
This study analyses a marble portrait head of King Pyrrhos of Epeiros to explore Hellenistic portraiture from c. 305 to 280 B.C. By comparing coins and sculptures, it provides a stylistic and historical context for royal portraits of the Successor period.
